FASTON Terminal Part Numbers
TE’s FASTON quick-disconnect terminals use a sequential numbering system:
- 170179-1: The base number identifies the product family (170xxx = FASTON 250 series). The suffix after the dash is a variant code.
- 170183-2: Very similar part — same family, different variant.
- Numbers ending in “-1” are typically standard straight terminals; “-2” variants might have different plating or packaging.
AMPMODU Connector Part Numbers
AMPMODU headers and receptacles use a format like 5-103635-3:
- 5-: Number of positions (5-position housing)
- 103635: Base product series
- -3: Variant (polarization, keying, or plating option)

- Always include the full part number — partial numbers may match multiple variants
- Check the datasheet — TE publishes detailed drawings with dimension tables keyed to specific part numbers
- Watch for RoHS variants — TE often suffixes part numbers for lead-free options
